All of the Jobs

So I sort of have five jobs now! My main job, of course is the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday elementary music job. Second, I play with the Bismarck Mandan Symphony (concert this Thursday!). Third, I teach flute lessons. I finally have a student! He's in the fifth grade and is a beginner and it's awesome to get to start someone with wonderful habits! We had our first lesson today and he's super malleable and was picking up on stuff quickly. I'm looking forward to our next one! And I recently added a fourth job or teaching woodwind methods at the University of Jamestown next semester. I'm so excited to be living in an area where there are few woodwinds and I get to teach what I love! And as I am typing this I remembered that I sub so that's job number five! Well, I think of it more like four and a half. I've only subbed three times and it's just not really reliable money, but it is nice when that extra cash shows up on my check!

It's a little bit of a crazy schedule, but isn't that just the life of a musician? I feel like I'm really living it by having a bajillion jobs that only like one of them pays a real salary hahahaha. At least one does!

Andrew and I have both been very blessed since moving here. A year ago I would not have believed that I would have been this happy teaching elementary school or that I would be playing in a professional symphony or teaching a college course! Or living in North Dakota but whatever hahahahaha. Life is funny sometimes.

Side note: I'm so proud of Andrew and hopefully in like 12 hours he'll officially be a doctor!!! Ahh!!!

Side Side Note: I'm sad I'm not in Columbia to celebrate (and visit with people). However, I'm alone in North Dakota and handling it well!!
